     In November 28, 2007, by the Georgian Government decree №262 the Tbilisi Vano Sarajishvili State Conservatory Reorganization: The branch separated from its base and established a legal entity-Kutaisi College of Music, with the goal of "higher education" of the law Higher musical educational activities.

     The foundation of the college was preceded by 37 years of fruitful and successful activity of the Kutaisi branch of Tbilisi State Conservatory of Vano Sarajishvili. The Kutaisi branch played an important role in the development of young professional staff for music educational institutions and creative organizations.

     The graduates of the Conservatoire's Kutaisi Branch (their number is up to 600) are based on the specialty. They act as soloists, singers and orchestras in the symphonic and chamber orchestras in Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi opera theater as soloists of chamber ensembles; They are engaged in teaching and performing activities in Georgian cities and regions, in close and distant foreign countries - Russia, Italy, France, Turkey, Holland, Germany, Israel and Greece.

Among the graduates of the branch are the laureates of the festivals of city, the Republican, the international competitions.

     In Kutaisi branch the young generation was trained by experienced and highly qualified professors, concerters. Among them were Art Candidates - Doctors, Public Artists, Honored Artists, who continued their work in Music College.

In the branch there was active educational and creative activity. The closest link was based on musical educational institutions and creative organizations of Western Georgia, master classes, lecture-concerts, creative evenings, student solo concerts, professors and students concerts and other events.

     From 1990 the branch was housed in a new building, which was transferred to the Legal Entity of Public Law-Kutaisi Music College. Its total area is 4072, 58 sq.m. The library, gym, small and large concert halls were organized, master classes, lecture-concerts, creative meetings, solo and ensemble concerts, where the famous Georgian and foreign musicians, performances and festivals of various festivals participated.

Kutaisi Branch of Vano Sarajishvili State Conservatoire of Tbilisi was headed for several years:

Sergo Gotsiridze, Honored Artist, Vocalist, 1970-1973

Otar Bregadze, prominent pianist, 1973-1974

Rusudan Lortkipanidze, professor of music, from 2015 till today.

By the order of Ministry of Education and Science of 31 December 2008 № 1189, a legal entity to the Kutaisi city-issued college for higher education license № 0812128. gained academic College (BA) and higher professional education programs for the implementation of the right, with the main aim of the modern issues  the young musicians education and professional training of teachers.

     From 2009 on the basis of results of unified national exams and college creative tours, the piano, orchestra instruments, conducting academic songs and team conducting are conducted.

     Newly founded LEPL The Kutaisi Music College has been committed to continuing the traditions of learning, teaching and performing-creative activities established in the Conservatoire's Kutaisi branch; Strengthen and further strengthen college contacts to accommodate students and professors' professions in the international area.

     Article 56 of the Law of Georgia on Higher Education, Article 56 of the Law of Georgia on Higher Education, Article 56 (2), sub-paragraph "a" Article 2499 of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia approved by the decree # 99 / N of 1 October 2010 In accordance with subparagraph "a" of paragraph 1 and article 25, The Kutaisi Music College (Identification Code 212907513) is granted the status of a higher education institution (college) for a term of 5 years and the limit of students' seats is limited to 200 (Decree of Protocol No. 1 of January 3, 2014,
